ARAMAS™

American Robotics Academy Mobile Arena System has arrived and all of the rules of the game have changed. Chaos and Havoc rule in this mechanical menace where the underworld has no limits.

It’s not just the playing, but the playing field.

Our portable and virtually indestructible mobile units can be configured to form customizable arenas of any shape and size. Each module can support adjustable subterranean platforms which permit mechanical contraptions to emerge through the surface of the playing field, or the opening of trap doors to the underground below.

The ARAMAS pat. pending “Mobile Arena System” will set the new standard for robotics competition challenges and STEM classroom objectives traditional fields are now a thing of the past.

ARAMAS

  • Revolutionizing the robotic arena design.
  • Reinventing the robotic playing field.
  • Ability to align and fasten units together for multiple layout designs.
  • Utilizing a variety of shapes and sizes.
  • Offering limitless challenges and obstacles and elements of surprise.

ARAMAS module descriptions

Base Module:
The Base module is the “heart” of the competition arena. The frames are made from strong, lightweight, corrosive resistant aluminum. An unlimited amount of these can be utilized to form any shape or style playing field. These modules set the entire height of the playing field at 13 ½” with a singular surface area of 15” x 15”.

Black, Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow Diamond aluminum plate

Lego plate #10701, (15” x 15”) available from Lego, Walmart, etc. Lego plate rests on top of panel.

Subterranean Module:
The Sub Mod is the “brains” of the arena. Adding a lower level deck (Subterranean Deck) to its frame, mechanical contraptions or contrivances can be added to enhance the capabilities of this unit in the playing field.  Fully adjustable from the ground, up to the upper deck of the module.

The Sub Deck is merely the deck to be added to the Base Module to form the Subterranean Module. Black, Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow

Lego plate #10701, (15” x 15”) available from Lego, Walmart, etc. Lego plate rests on top of panel.

Double Module:
The Double Mod allows for twice the playing area as a singular Base Mod with less weight and reduced costs.

Black, Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow Diamond aluminum plate

ego plate #10701, (15” x 15”) available from Lego, Walmart, etc. Lego plate rests on top of panel.

Ramp Module:
The Ramp Mod has the same surface area as a Double Mod, but allows access to the playing field from the floor.

Black, Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow Diamond aluminum plate

Lego plate #10701, (15” x 15”) available from Lego, Walmart, etc. Lego plate rests on top of panel.

Bridge Module:
The Bridge Mod is a unique platform that allows access from one module to another by a narrow path.

Black, Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow Diamond aluminum plate

Lego plate #10701, (15” x 15”) available from Lego, Walmart, etc. Lego plate rests on top of panel.

Leg Clamp:
The leg clamp secures one module to another with a simple knob locking system.

Barrier:
The barriers or “guard rails” keep the robots from falling off the playing field, if desired. Made from recycled polycarbonate, these clear (transparent) panels are durable and impact resistant. The barrier secures to the module with a simple knob locking system.

Hole Cut-Out:
Panel cutout machining services provide an opening for trap door or access point for mechanical devices from the Sub Deck level. Minimum dimensions of 3” x 3”.

ARAMAS FAQs

  1. Can we attach our modules with other ARAMAS modules?
All ARAMAS modules are interchangeable and are designed to connect with all others. This allows you to be able to connect with any others, anytime. There is no limit to how many modules can be set up together.
  2. Do the modules need to be taken apart often?
Not at all. If you desire to store them or transport them with less space, the legs can quickly and easily be taken off and reattached in seconds.
  3. Is the ARAMAS system designed only for LEGO related materials?
Absolutely not. The system is designed to accommodate the very popular 15” x 15” LEGO base plate. Sold separately, this plate rests on top of any module perfectly because our modules are based on the 15” x 15” dimensions.
  4. Does ARAMAS offer larger size modules?
Yes,  ARAMAS  “Super Sized”. Using the same design concept, ARAMAS also offers the larger 4’ x 4’ x 4’ modules.  Currently there are five modules in our inventory.
