Inspiring Young Engineers Across the Greater Houston Area

From the heart of Houston to Katy’s growing communities, American Robotics Academy brings hands-on robotics and engineering to students in schools, after-school programs, and community spaces. Our mission is simple: give kids the tools, confidence, and teamwork skills they need to think like engineers while having a blast!

Using LEGO® Technic systems, coding tools, and creative design challenges, our programs make STEM concepts come alive for students in ages 5-12! Each session blends mechanical engineering, coding fundamentals, and problem-solving in a supportive, small-group environment.

Ignite your child’s curiosity this summer at our Robotics and Coding Camps for ages 5–12! 🤖☀️ Campers will design, build, and program robots through hands-on projects, create craft take-home creations, and tackle fun physical activity challenges like obstacle courses and movement games. We offer a variety of themed camps—including Robo Mania!, Little Engineers, Code Critters, Bot Builders’ Academy, Turbo Tech Bots, Remix Robotics: Hackers Lab, and Code Wizards—so every child can find a camp that sparks their imagination. No experience needed, just curiosity and creativity!

What to bring:

Full Day: Campers are to bring 2 snacks, lunch and a water bottle.

Half Day: Campers are to bring 1 snack and a water bottle.

Camp Descriptions

ROBO MANIA! - Beginner Robotics | Ages 5–7

Campers become Robot Explorers as they build fun robots like Crab Bots and Lawn Mower robots. Kids work in small teams, taking turns as the Builder, Engineer, and Tester, pretending their robots are helping on silly missions — all while moving, crafting, and playing. Campers will love pretending to be robot engineers, building and decorating robots and acting out robot missions.

LITTLE ENGINEERS - Beginner Engineering | Ages 5–6

Campers step into the role of City Engineers, working together to design towers, bridges, and vehicles. Through role-playing challenges, kids imagine they’re building a city, solving problems together, and explaining their creations like real engineers. Campers will be building together as a team, pretend-play engineering missions, creative crafts and movement games.

CODE CRITTERS - Beginner Coding & Robotics | Ages 5–7

Campers become Critter Coders, programming playful robots to react, move, and respond. Kids collaborate in teams, assign roles, and use storytelling to give their critters personalities — then act out adventures and challenges together. Campers will love giving robots personalities, coding as a team, and acting out critter adventures.

BOT BUILDERS ACADEMY - Beginner Robotics | Ages 7–9

Campers become Mecha Masters, building robots like the Elias Tank and Lawn Mower Bot. Teams assign roles such as Designer, Builder, Driver, and Tester, then work together to complete exciting robot missions and challenges. Campers will team robot builds, role-playing engineering jobs and testing and improving robots.

TURBO TECH BOTS - Intermediate Robotics | Ages 7–9

Campers form Robot Racing Teams, collaborating to build faster, stronger bots. Kids brainstorm upgrades, test ideas, cheer for teammates, and role-play as engineers preparing robots for competition — with movement games to keep energy high. Campers will love friendly team competitions, making robots better together and high-energy challenges.

REMIX ROBOTS – HACKERS LAB - Advanced Robotics | Ages 9–12

Campers become Robot Hackers & Inventors, taking apart designs and reimagining them into something brand new. Teams collaborate, debate ideas, and role-play as engineers solving world problems through creativity and innovation. Campers will love creative freedom, team brainstorming, big “ AHA” moments.

CODE WIZARDS - MicroBits & Sphero | Ages 9–12

Campers join a Coding Guild, working together to complete coding quests using Micro:bits and Sphero robots. Teams collaborate, troubleshoot, and role-play their way through tech challenges — and each camper takes home their own Micro:bit! Campers will love coding quests challenges, team problem solving, and tech they get to keep.
